Intern / Student

Your mission

Your thesis includes an analysis of the current farm-level work processes that are intended to be automated in the future. Processes such as vaccination, insemination, and hatching egg collection are to be documented and analyzed. In collaboration with subject-matter experts, a technical solution for automating these processes will be developed. A central component of the role is the execution and supervision of trials both on the farm and within the development department. In addition, a key focus of the thesis is the technical description of the solution approach developed by AAT for automating workflows in turkey breeding. The economic evaluation of the procedures to be developed—compared to the (currently) manual work processes—will complete your thesis.

Your profile

To fulfill this role, you should already have completed a Bachelor’s degree in agricultural sciences and be enrolled in a Master’s program with a focus on animal sciences or agribusiness. You possess strong communication skills and enjoy immersing yourself in technical and economic topics within the agricultural sector. Strong organizational abilities, willingness to travel, independent and solution‑oriented working practices, as well as a high degree of flexibility and self‑motivation complete your profile.

Our offer

While working on your Master’s thesis, you will receive close guidance from subject‑matter experts and benefit from their expertise. Furthermore, we offer you the opportunity to write your thesis in an international environment and to visit production sites and farms abroad.
You will receive a compensation for your efforts, and all business‑related travel expenses will be covered.
There is also a strong prospect of being offered permanent employment upon completion of your thesis.
