What is the EW Group Summer School?The EW Group Summer School is an international internship program designed for students who want to gain hands-on experience in modern poultry production.
Participants start with an onboarding session at EW Group in Germany and then continue their internship at one of our partner companies across Europe.
The program offers insights into the the entire value chain in layer distribution and provides valuable practical experience in a global industry.
Typical program structureWeek 1: OnboardingIntroduction to the EW Group and its network at EW Group headquarters in Germany.
Included travel to one of the related layer distribution companies across Europe for a company specific onboarding at the respective headquater.
Week 2-7: Practical InsightsPractical internship at the respective layer distribution company.
You will gain insights into different areas of poultry production, including:
- Parent stock management
- Production of hatching eggs
- Hatchery operations
- Rearing of commercial hens
- Farm management and production processes
Week 8: Check-outReview and final feedback session at the practical internship layer distribution company.
Travel back to EW Headquarters for program completion and networking opportunities.
